Laura Davies CBE

Laura Davies began playing tournament golf at the age of 7, and is now the most decorated English female golfer of the modern era.
After a successful amateur career, she turned pro in 1985, finishing top of the Ladies European Tour money list in her rookie year. Laura has gone on to win the LET Order of Merit a record seven times, also finishing top in ’86, ’92, ’96, ’99, ’04 and ’06. Laura doesn’t confine herself to the LET as she frequently plays on the LPGA tour. She became the first non-American to finish at the top of the LPGA money list in 1994. In her distinguished career, Laura has amassed 4 major titles, over 80 professional titles, and in 2011 she overtook Annika Sorenstam to become the leading point scorer in the Solheim Cup.
Currently she only requires two more points to gain membership to the prestigious LPGA Hall of Fame.
