Pat Bradley

Pat is a New England native who began playing golf at the age of 11 at Nashua (NH) Country Club. She had an impressive amateur career winning both the New Hampshire Amateur and N.E. Amateur twice. She played for Florida International University and was named All-American prior to joining the LPGA Tour.
 

Pat joined the LPGA Tour and captured her first victory in 1976 at the Girl Talk Classic.  She won an impressive 31 LPGA titles, including an amazing 6 LPGA major championships.  In 1986, Pat won 3 of her 6 major championships, making her the only LPGA player to capture 3 of the 4 modern-day majors in one season. She has won all 4 LPGA major championships giving her a complete LPGA Career Grand Slam.
In 1988, during the height of Pat’s career, she was diagnosed with Graves Disease. Incredibly, over the next 7 years, she came back and won 9 more LPGA titles, including her 30th LPGA victory, which earned her spots in the prestigious LPGA Hall of Fame and the World Golf Hall of Fame. Pat has won numerous LPGA awards, including LPGA Rolex Player of the Year in 1986 and 1991, Vare Trophy in 1986 and 1991, William and Mousie Powell Award and Patty Berg Award. She was a member of 3 U.S. Solheim Cup teams (1990, 1992, 1996) and was Captain of the 2000 U.S. Solheim Cup team.


Currently, Pat competes regularly on the LPGA Legends Tour.  She and her playing partner, Patty Sheehan tied for 1st at the 2005 BJ’s Charity Championship. She resides in Massachusetts and enjoys rooting for the Boston sports teams – especially the Boston Red Sox.
