Wayne Smith

ISPS International Representative

Wayne competed successfully as a professional golfer for 20 years, playing in Australia, Japan, Asia and Europe. Since retiring he has focused on developing his sports management business that runs and promotes tournaments and manages a number of professionals.

Wayne’s experience and network in golf helps ISPS in his position as advisor to the board. He has contributed to the expansion of ISPS and the promotion of blind golf through the different tournaments that ISPS support around the globe.

“I’ve known Dr Handa since 1988 and have worked with ISPS in an official capacity since 2005, prior to the first Handa Australia Cup in 2006.  It is fantastic to see the support ISPS gives to grassroot initiatives and blind golf around the world.  ISPS supports events in four continents and has developed a close collaboration with the IBGA to increase awareness around blind golf, which one day we hope will be included in the Paralympic Games.”
