About ISPS Golf

ISPS HANDA's support for golf stems from a firm belief in the "power of sport". Sport has a unique ability to create hope, to break down educational and cultural barriers and to inspire people in a way that very little else does. Sport brings people together and unites communities around the world.

It is this belief that has led to Dr Handa's interest and philanthropic contribution in the sport, providing opportunities for blind and disabled golfers worldwide and on the foundation of their wider mission for golf to become a Paralympic sport. Last year ISPS HANDA partnered with the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund to create the Nelson Mandela Championship Presented by ISPS HANDA. This once again highlighted to the world the “power of sport” to do good and create a lasting legacy through the various Nelson Mandela Children's Fund's projects in South Africa, including the creation of the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital in Gauteng.

ISPS HANDA has collaborated with almost every major golf tour globally, including the European Tour, European Senior Tour, Asian Tour, Legends Tour, LPGA, PGA Tour, Ladies European Tour, Japan PGA, Sunshine Tour, Golf Australia and the Australian PGA.By fostering partnerships with some of golfs largest governing bodies, foundations and programmes worldwide, ISPS HANDA aids the development of the game at every level to promote blind and disabled golf.
